Is My Reiki Practitioner Certified? Barb Checked Everything

A fictional Frequency Story. The characters and reading scenes are invented for entertainment and reflection, not client testimonials.

Barb checks credentials. She once asked her dentist to take his diploma down off the wall so she could read the small print. She looked up her plumber's license number while he was still under the sink. So when her daughter suggested Reiki, Barb did not ask what it was. She asked, "Who says they're allowed to do it?" She searched "how do I know if a Reiki practitioner is certified." Then she searched "certified Reiki Master." Then she found The Paul Hesch Frequency at mrhesch.com, put on her reading glasses and went through Paul's training like an auditor. She read it out loud to her husband, Ron, who was trying to watch the game. "Usui Reiki. Levels one, two and three, and Master Teacher. Ron, that's all of them." "Mm-hm," said Ron. "Holy Fire Reiki, levels one and two." "Okay." "Money Reiki. Practitioner, Master and Grand Master. There's a Grand Master, Ron." "Is that higher than a regular Master?" "It has 'Grand' in it. Quantum Reiki, Level One Healer Certification. Chi Ball Master. I don't know what a chi ball is, but he's a master of it. Reiki Distance Healing Specialist." Ron muted the television. "Barb, your dentist has one diploma." "I know."

"This fella has more certificates than our whole family." Barb kept reading. "He also completed mediumship training, one on one. And it says he's taking more classes right now." She took off her glasses. "He's still in school, Ron. On purpose." Barb booked the session. She would like it known that she still asked to see the certificates in person, and that Paul showed her without blinking. Then she lay down on the table. For one hour Barb did not inspect, verify or audit a single thing. Ron says she came home humming, and he checked, and she has never hummed before. In our fictional story, Barb would probably recommend Paul to her daughter, her neighbor and her dentist.
