Rise Again

Full Song Lyrics

[Intro]
If you are listening to this, something may have fallen apart.
A job. A relationship. A plan. A dream.
Maybe it all came down at once.

[pause]
In tarot there is a card for that moment. The Tower.
Lightning strikes, flames, people falling.
It is the card everyone is afraid to pull.

[softer]
But I want to tell you what the card really means.
A tower only falls when it was built on something that could not hold you.
It is painful. It is loud.
It is not the end of you.
It is the end of what was in your way.

[warm]
And I want you to hear me say this.
Whatever happened, you are not alone.
Someone believes in you.

[building]
Right after the Tower comes The Star.
Look at her. She kneels by the water, pouring it out,
and above her a great star shines.
Hope after the storm. Quiet healing.
Slow and steady. The kind of light that only shows up
when it is dark enough to see it.

[steady, stronger]
You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to cry.
You are not allowed to quit.
Those are different things.
Rest is not surrender.

[intensity rising]
And if it feels too heavy to carry, tell someone.
Call a friend, a family member, a counselor, anyone.
Strong people ask for help.
That is strength, not weakness.

[BAM, sudden surge, loud and powerful]
NOW GET UP! YOU HAVE SURVIVED EVERY SINGLE DAY SO FAR!
EVERY. SINGLE. ONE!
THAT IS YOUR TRACK RECORD, AND IT IS PERFECT!

[drop to quiet and tender]
The last card in this story is The World.
A figure dancing inside a wreath of victory, finished, whole, free.
That is waiting for you.
Not because life gets easy.
Because you get stronger.

[rising]
Say it. I will rebuild.
I will rise. I am not finished.

[loudest]
I AM NOT FINISHED!

[soft, slow, fading]
Take a deep breath.
You made it through today. That counts.
Believe in tomorrow.
