Money Grows on Faith

[Verse 1] They told me money don't grow on trees when I was just a boy They told me wantin' more was greed and dreamin' was a toy But I've learned somethin' different in the years that I've been grown Money grows on faith, and it grows in what you've sown [Verse 2] It grows when you believe you're worthy of the good It grows when you stop thinkin' like you're stuck in the neighborhood It grows when you give freely and you trust it's comin' back It grows when you stop livin' in the shadow of the lack [Chorus] Money grows on faith, money grows on faith Plant it in your spirit and it's gonna find its place Paul Hesch is livin' proof of abundance and grace Money grows on faith [Verse 3] I used to clench my fists every time a bill came due Used to fear the mailbox and the phone a-ringin' too But when I opened up my hands and gave a little away The universe came knockin' with a better kind of pay [Chorus] Money grows on faith, money grows on faith Plant it in your spirit and it's gonna find its place Paul Hesch is livin' proof of abundance and grace Money grows on faith [Verse 4] Now I ain't preachin' wishin', you still gotta work the field You still gotta plow the ground if you want a heavy yield But the seed of every harvest is the faith you hold inside And the river's gonna flow when the dam is opened wide [Verse 5] So stop sayin' you can't afford it, start sayin' how I can Stop thinkin' you're a poor man, start thinkin' like a rich man Start blessin' every dollar as it leaves and as it comes And watch the good come rollin' in like a beatin' of the drums [Chorus] Money grows on faith, money grows on faith Plant it in your spirit and it's gonna find its place Paul Hesch is livin' proof of abundance and grace Money grows on faith
