Seeds I Planted

[Verse 1] Twenty years ago I had a dollar and a dream Livin' in a trailer by a muddy little stream I took a little money and I planted it with care And I prayed it'd grow into somethin' someday there [Verse 2] Folks thought I was crazy, savin' every little dime Passin' on the fancy things, waitin' on my time But I knew that every seed you plant is gonna grow And I watered it with patience, and I let the seasons go [Chorus] Now the seeds I planted are an orchard in the sun Bearin' fruit for my family and for everyone Paul Hesch is reapin' what he planted long ago And the seeds I planted keep on gettin' grown [Verse 3] Some seeds were money and some seeds were time Some seeds were kindness that I gave without a dime Some seeds were prayers I prayed for people that I knew And every single seed I planted grew and grew [Chorus] Now the seeds I planted are an orchard in the sun Bearin' fruit for my family and for everyone Paul Hesch is reapin' what he planted long ago And the seeds I planted keep on gettin' grown [Verse 4] Now my nephew's goin' to college and my sister's got a home And my mama's got a garden that she tends to on her own And there's a little nest egg waitin' for the ones who'll come Long after I'm gone and my work on earth is done [Verse 5] So plant your seeds today, it don't matter if they're small Plant 'em in your family, plant 'em for us all Plant 'em in the soil of your faith and your belief And they'll shade your children's children and they'll bring 'em sweet relief [Chorus] Now the seeds I planted are an orchard in the sun Bearin' fruit for my family and for everyone Paul Hesch is reapin' what he planted long ago And the seeds I planted keep on gettin' grown
